Nursing

Ethos does not provide direct nursing services. In selected instances, Ethos may purchase, on behalf of clients, nursing services to prefill medication boxes etc. Part of the Ethos mandate is to provide client assessment for safe and effective personal care. Ethos nurses visit each nursing facility in southwest Boston to authorize nursing home care paid for by MassHealth. They also work with nursing home residents who wish to be discharged to the community.

Ethos nurses are also responsible for determining eligibility for adult day health and some special MassHealth programs such as the Home and Community Based waiver.
